Cooking with Taste Cookery Courses at Chrissies Kitchen

A concept initiated by Chris Davies at her home in Buckton in the idyllic Welsh Marches on the borders of Herefordshire, Shropshire and Wales, Chrissie’s Kitchen is now the home of ‘Cooking with Taste’ cookery courses.

There will be a maximum of four students in Chrissie’s new kitchen, which is equipped with a large Falcon Range cooker and granite worktops with plenty of space for four workstations. Lunch with wine is taken in the cream and white painted conservatory with old oak farmhouse table and squishy 1970’s sofa, or on sunny days, the terrace with views over the garden across ancient pastures and rolling hills is a tempting alternative.

Day courses start at 9.30 until around 3.30 and include morning coffee, lunch (to include some or all of the morning’s offerings) and afternoon tea. Prices are £95.00 per person per day when booked on an individual basis. Discounts are available for group bookings.

The whole concept of Chrissie’s Kitchen is to encourage and facilitate the idea of flexibility. Private individual tuition is available upon request. Groups of four may wish to pursue a food area of their choice so do contact to discuss possibilities. Or, if you have a nice big kitchen (and you live fairly locally) you might like to get a group together and the course will come to you! All you have to do is to phone to discuss your ideas. If you live away, there are lots of terrifically good B&B’s nearby, some within a stone's throw from Chrissie’s Kitchen! So if you fancy a cooking weekend in this truly glorious part of the country, combined perhaps with a trip to the seriously ‘foodie’ market town of Ludlow, seven miles to the east of Buckton, just email or telephone and the idea can fly! In the meantime there will be courses planned each month to give you an idea of what you might like to pursue.
